Yeah it's the most vague of the nine original tall tales. I recommend rarethief if you plan on doing it again

What's the point of doing TTs the first time if you don't take a while to do them? They're meant to be interesting and take a bit to figure out. Genuinely curious what people expect, after doing it it actually makes sense and isn't "poorly designed."

It's definitely one of the harder ones but it was probably my favorite by far. It actually tested you a lot in terms of riddles and knowing the lingo while not holding your hand at the same time.

I followed a guide and used rare thief and it was still confusing. The first time was a bitch, but the next four times were much easier since I had an understanding of how it went. Still annoying because of how long it is.

I remember not being able to do this one without looking up how. The pictures really threw me off. The statues, the dude jumping like matrix into the sky.

The only thing I'm found confusing was when it sent us to shark baits cove where some guy had apparently "seen rings of sand and water" then "stepped on the sand" and "hit [the gem] car underneath him with his rival far behind him in the skies" (which was the scarab, no problems there). But the game actually wanted us to go all the way to the pool in the middle and dive for the stone.

Ah well the rest was fine.

I def needed the rarethief guide. I liked where their head was at, using astronomy to find treasure; but their star chart was linear, and personally i have never seen a linear star chart. So i was definitely confused. Hope they revisit the TT so they can clean up the journal a little bit.

I did this tall tale 5 times and the only thing I remember about it is how I had no fucking clue what was going on, but the stars were cool :) My buddy was doing all the tall tales 5 times in order and I was just along for the ride.

I remember being like in The Shroudbreaker tall tale, where in the damn hell is the chest?!? It was hell the first time

Yeah this quest was pretty bad to be honest - aside from it potentially sending you across the entire map multiple times the hints and what you need to actually do at times tended to get really confusing.

(Worst one I think was the riddle where you have to find the rock where the eagle landed for one of the gems.)

Well a good few people did play test this, but I really don't think they'd have a say in what to change, because they'd say to basically scrap the whole tale and try again

For years, "fetch' quest has been the worst for me in all of the video games. but after finishing this one yesterday I have a new benchmark.

I mean, the concept is really cool and fun. But the execution... Oh man, this was a terrible experience.

Some of the randomized quests are actually broken. My buddy and I spent hours looking for the gem in the kraken skeleton. The clue was "to the south west of an uncharted isle" which turned out to be the Reaper's Hideout WHICH ISN'T FUCKING UNCHARTED ANYMORE. Even worse, the lead up had you going toward the Sea Dog Tavern, which actually IS uncharted. So my friend and I are diving deep to the southwest of the Sea Dog Tavern for about half an hour. We had to look that one up and it didn't even make sense after we knew the answer.
